Synnott Mountain Guides (SMG) offers private and group instruction/guiding in mountaineering, ice & mixed climbing, backcountry skiing, avalanche education, rock climbing, and hiking & backpacking. We conduct our courses at a variety of different areas including Cathedral Ledge, Whitehorse Ledge, Cannon Cliff, Frankenstein Cliff, Mount Willard, and Mount Webster. We specialize in winter ascents of Mount Washington, including routes in Tuckerman Ravine and Huntington Ravine.

Synnott Mountain Guides has several highly qualified guides, so whether you're looking for a sunny day of multi pitch rock climbing at Cathedral Ledge, a day of ice climbing in Crawford Notch, or an introduction to mountaineering on Mount Washington, we have the expertise and local knowledge for your mountain adventure.

Owner and director Mark Synnott is an AMGA/IFMGA certified Mountain Guide, the highest level of guide certification available in the US. He is also a long time member of The North Face Athlete Team and local Mountain Rescue Service.
